When people comment saying “why don’t people care” and “why don’t people do anything”, it deepens the psychological wound. Knowing about trauma and holding it in your body without a path toward healing creates further trauma for everyone. A girl described being forced trying to cut off a newborn baby’s head and not being strong enough to do it so an adult grabbed her wrist to guide her with the cutting.
A 4 yr old Hispanic girl told almost the same story sobbing in Spanish. Even at 4 she knew how horrible it was.
A little boy told us his private parts always hurt from grown ups always touching them.
