The young man was polite enough to say, "well, I've never heard that" or something similar & his wife glared at me like she was shooting daggers at my audacity to being up such a "sore thumb" subject to two nice German people. Those two showed exactly how the so-called Allies, especially Americans who stayed on & occupied that country for another 50 years, indoctrinated them in the false narrative that their parents/grandparents were bad people for allowing this & that they must forever live with a sense of guilt & shame over something that never happened! I know about the occupation & the conditioning of the German people I was one of those GIs in the occupation there, in the U.S. Army from '72-'74, stationed outside Mainz.
As a German descendant living in Europe I find your version of history profoundly disturbing. There was a Holocaust against Jews, there might have been maltreatment of Germans after the war, but one cannot and should not deny the mass murder and barbarically extinction of Jews.
