By the way, no one, yet NO ONE is denying that what you write is true; as I wrote, my father was 18, my mother was 16 & yes, since in that era pre-marital sex was frowned upon & the only birth control available was condoms, maybe, they generally got married. Yes, my parents deprived themselves of opportunities, especially my mother for whom I always felt somewhat badly as she had to work twice as hard as my father because women WERE exploited, they were forced into dual roles as nurturers of the children plus having to help being home the bacon, so to speak. Like you yourself wrote, this is not about that, this is about sexual exploitation of children, prepubescent children, if we want to encapsulate it within the term "pedophilia."

Agree with most you said. Women HAVE to get a good education or skills and control their lives. BUT - you do not mention the role of religion and public opinion. I was born in a country where pretty much everybody was Christian, believed in restrain of sex before marriage, the public opinion was very strong and mattered, in a word- kids did not have easily access to sex before marriage. We had almost NO birth control access, no contraceptives unless smuggled over the border, not even condoms, NO abortions were allowed (strictly only medical reasons), etc… Simple people believing in God, purity of girls, virginity at marriage was very valued, almost no sex education, no children out of marriages, shame for those who trespassed, parents were very restrictive and severe, and so forth. Girls ONLY had relationships and dated for marriage prospects! Never just for sex. Promiscuity even for men was harshly condemned and shamed, rarely even encountered. So people do not need sophisticated education and access to contraceptive and abortions etc… They only need God, and believe in the Scriptures.
