While I’m all for undermining Russia in relation to its illegal and brutal adventure in Ukraine, the means are as important S the ends, surely. Otherwise, exactly what rights are we defending? I grew up in a time where crack cocaine exploded in California. It began in LA. I saw what crack was doing in Southern California when going to college in the early 90s.
Gary Webbs expose in the mercury news blew up. The administration kept denying CIA was involved. The mercury news also disavowed the article in its reporting. LA times also disavowed it.
In the end Gary Webb killed himself as reported. When the government wants you they will get you legally or illegally. It doesn’t matter.
