Decapitation or Jihad: Top-Secret Program to Recruit Fighters to Overthrow Asaad in Syria
This was the choice given to 1,239 prisoners held in a Saudi jail: fight in the war against Asaad's government in Syria or die by decapitation.
According to a leaked top-secret memo from 2012, the Saudi Kingdom offered 1,239 prisoners a deal:
Full pardons and monthly salaries for their families in exchange for being trained and deployed to fight alongside Al-Qaeda in Syria to overthrow President Bashar Al-Asaad.
My first question was simple:
Where were they going to be trained at?
This deal emerged around the same time President Obama launched Operation Timber Sycamore: a classified CIA program that provided money, weapons, and training to Syrian “rebels”, with direct support from Saudi intelligence.
And here’s a useful rule of thumb:
when Mainstream Media says “rebels”, what they really mean to say is ISIS, Al-Qaeda, or some rebranded version of them, depending on the country.
In this case, since this is taking place in Syria, the CIA and Saudi Intelligence were arming Al-Qaeda through Operation Timber Sycamore.
So when a Saudi ‘decapitation or Jihad’ deal offering prisoners freedom in exchange for “training in Syria”, surfaces at the same the CIA and Saudi intelligence are running a covert training operation in Syria, it’s not hard to connect the dots.
It’s a pretty safe assumption this is where these prisoners were sent.
Which leads to the next question:
What the hell were we even doing in Syria?
But honestly, you could ask that about a lot of countries.
Iraq. Afghanistan. Libya. Somalia. Yemen.
If you’re unfamiliar with the Greater Israel Project, you shouldn’t be. It’s a Zionist concept centered on territorial expansion and regional dominance, and it helps explain a lot of U.S. foreign policy behavior in the Middle East and beyond.
The Asaad government was pro-Palestinian and openly critical of the Israeli-apartheid regime. This made them a target because Israel has always wanted to control parts of Syria. Here’s a map of what ‘Greater Israel’ looks like. Keep note of how much territory they would be stealing from other countries.
So the U.S. coordinated regime-change efforts, using proxies, sanctions, and armed groups, just as it does all over the world.
This involved supporting Al-Qaeda in Syria, which is far more common than Americans realize, and that the U.S. government is willing to admit.
But let’s leave Israel and their ‘dreams’ out of it for a minute, and instead, look at who these prisoners were who were offered the ‘decapitation or Jihad’ deal.
They came from Palestine, Yemen, Somalia, Afghanistan, Iraq, and beyond.
Notice any trends?
Every one of these countries has been bombed, occupied, and/or destroyed by the U.S. and Israel for decades.
Now imagine this for a moment:
You’re imprisoned in Saudi Arabia, awaiting execution, (which is death by sword). Yes, a sword.
Then you’re told your freedom depends on fighting a war for the same governments responsible for your suffering at home. Governments that may have even killed some of your friends and family.
And, as a side-note, I can’t imagine they were given much of a choice in the matter considering their loved ones could have been threatened (take-this-deal-or-we’ll-kill-your-entire-family type of deal).
And even if that is not the case, their only other option was death by DECAPITATION…so honestly, what would you choose?
Now ask the question no one in the American government ever asks:
What happens when this ‘deal’ ends?
Because it ended last year when the Asaad regime was overthrown.
…and these were people who were convicted of things like rape, murder, and smuggling drugs.
Now you’re left with criminals who were threatened, trained, armed, and radicalized (or even MORE radical than they were prior to being imprisoned).
People from Somalia, where the U.S. has been bombing for 20+ years.
From Yemen, home of one of the worst humanitarian crises on Earth, with nearly 400,000 dead, millions displaced, and mass starvation from bombs and blockades.
From Afghanistan, with one million dead civilians and 20-year military occupation that ended in utter disaster for the Afghani population.
From Iraq, where hundreds of thousands of civilians were killed, and years of chaos.
Oh, and Palestine, which needs no explanation.
There are people from many other countries as well!
So what do you think happens next?
This question is more important than ever because the ‘next’ is right now.
Do they just go home and move on?
Or do they turn their attention to the governments that destroyed their countries and then blackmailed them into fighting a war they didn’t even believe in?
The blowback from something like this could be enormous.
So, when governments turn around and ask,
"Why do they hate us?”
The answer really isn’t all that complicated.

Thanks. NATO lead destruction.. add Libya..
While their families are hostage in Yahudi Harambia ("saudi arabia"), the likelihood of them turning against their handlers is small. I find it a little disturbing that ethical considerations are last priority for most americans. They only care about "blowback". Mass murder, plunder, displacement, suffering of "others" of any color (nobody bats an eye about enslavement, forced displacement, mass murder, rape and looting of post WW2 german civilians) are a non issue.
